House Rules

A few small things that keep Šibenik Old Town House a good neighbour in the medieval centre — and a place every guest enjoys.

At a glance

Quiet 22:00 – 08:00
UNESCO residential area — families next door.
No pets
Stone interiors and wooden floors don't allow it.
No parties
These are family homes, not party flats.
Smoke outside only
Courtyard or terrace are fine.

Why these rules exist

These are not booking-platform boilerplate. The buildings around our courtyard are home to Šibenik families — toddlers, grandparents, neighbours we say good morning to every day. The house works because everyone respects the same quiet, considerate rhythm. Help us keep it that way, and you'll get a warm welcome back.

House guidelines

How we live here

Six gentle guidelines, each with the reason behind it.

Only registered guests

We register every staying guest with the local Tourist Board at arrival — it's a Croatian-law requirement, takes 30 seconds and the city tax is already included in your rate.

Stay within capacity

Apartment Mali sleeps up to three, Apartment Veli up to four. Please don't exceed these — the cleaning, linen and infrastructure are sized for that occupancy.

Quiet hours 22:00–08:00

Šibenik's old town is a UNESCO residential area — neighbours next door, often elderly or with small children. Please keep voices low after ten in the evening; the family next door will notice.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in either apartment. The 17th-century stone interiors, wooden floors and shared old-town courtyard make it difficult to host animals while keeping the house in the condition our guests expect.

Smoking

Please don't smoke inside — the stone walls hold the smell for weeks. The inner courtyard (Mali) and the terrace (Veli) are perfect for an evening cigarette.

Parties & events

A dinner with friends, an aperitivo on the terrace — please, yes. A loud party with extra guests — please, no. The neighbours notice and Šibenik is a small town.

Practical info

Practicalities

Check-in, check-out and what's included — the logistics.

Check-in from 16:00

Our local partner welcomes you in person. If you'll arrive after 20:00, please let us know a day ahead so we can coordinate.

Check-out by 10:00

Leaves us time to clean for the next guests. Need a late check-out? Just ask — sometimes we can.

Linen & towels

Provided and changed weekly for stays longer than seven nights. Beach towels are in the closet — please don't use the bath towels at Banj Beach.

What's included

Your rate covers all utilities, the city tourist tax, fast Wi-Fi, linen, towels and the final cleaning. No extras at check-out.
